The sTruggle is real!Loosing weight, getting fit, getting that insta bod that everybody craves the struggle is real- especially if you are anything like me that absolutely loves food, eating out, socialising & having that drink or two! Instagram is a fantastic visual platform full of videos and photos of people quite simply looking gorgeous & generally posting happy times that is becoming sooooo addictive! If quite often you find yourself scrolling throughout the day liking those dream bodies, dream llifestyles & of course supporting your friends whilst posting ‘happy/ posed’ photos of your own - we are all guilty! This is becoming the norm- If you haven’t moved things round to get the perfect photo and filtered the hell out of it probably taking a few snaps to get that perfect shot before posting 🙈 we have all done it- don’t worry it’s kind of insta normal! ✌🏼 Just staring into the sea whilst in Marbella ☀️ When life gives you lemons 🍋... G&T for me! Enjoying the bubbles 🍾😍 so where tO start- get motivated!Getting that initial motivation- a little kick up the bum; can be difficult sometimes and often you need to be in the right state of mind to want to achieve, to want to be healthy, to motivate yourself to stick to those goals- if your not in the right frame of mind goals can easily be cut short or you get sidetracked very easily😵 which is so frustrating when you have done well for a few days/ week or so then back to bad habits! Changing your mindset and starting small with achievable targets for example; quite simply changing how you cook/ prepare your food - grilling instead of frying, using coconut oil/ olive oil or frylight instead of vegetable oil , cutting your bread intake down or out or even changing the type of bread and how often your eating it, changing your fluid intake cutting out juices and sticking to water, or even changing the amount or what type of alcoholic drinks your consuming; drinking spirits with tonic or soda instead of glasses of wine/ beer as an example! All these little changes contribute to that end goal by starting small your changing the way your mind thinks and helps re-train your mind being aware of WHAT and HOW much your putting in your mouth! Starting points are having a goal in mind... this could be a holiday, could be an event or wedding or could simply have more energy whilst working and running round with the kids or life in general. Once you decide on your goal and set yourself an achieveable timeframe - this I don’t mean ‘holiday bod in 4 weeks- starve yourself’ this is not healthy and often will lead to more weight gain and pressure/ stress on yourself- don’t do this by the way! REALISTIC GOALS if it’s weight loss loose gradually over time to maintain your loss, if it’s toning up concentrate and set yourself a food plan and exercise plan to train and stay on track. Staying motivated is key to success! Still out for a nice meal but showing what little changes you can make and still enjoy it! This was amazing!! a veggie bean burrito bowl with a portion of rice and greens 😍 Opting for the salad option this time whilst I was out - chicken, bacon & goats cheese with avocado ( but chose not to eat the bread) 😋 & still had a small wine. What changes can i make & will i reach my goal?Start small! I can’t emphasise this enough! In my own experience over the years my weight has changed both up and down, shape has changed, fat stores are different to when I was younger, how much I loose/ gain changes and facing the fact - my weight when I was a teen teaching six classes a day will never be the same as me 10+ years later - quite simply over time your body changes so don’t compare yourself to before work on the now! Eating and maintaining a healthy BALANCED lifestyle will always work- from working in the fitness industry and being incredibly fit to pursuing other employment interests- finding that positive motivated state of mind is key to start and succeed! Try these 5 simple steps... • water water water - drink lots- get yourself a water bottle and monitor how much your drinking and keep refilling it. This helps to flush out toxins in the body and great for concentration, awareness & hydration! • Food plan- write yourself a little plan, this is used as a guideline you can go off plan but make sure return back to it - lots of variety .. food tracker apps like ‘my fitness pal’ I personally found really helpful seeing exactly what your eating and breaking down those food categories to see your carb, fat & protein intake. • Exercise- you know your body so you know how hard to push yourself start small find something you enjoy is important! 30 mins a day minimum whether that’s a class, running, waking the dog, swimming, cycling whatever it is you enjoy, stick with it - exercise is a great way to socialise , see and feel progress & releases that feel good factor which you need to stay positive, healthy & focused! • Write it down- key to seeing progress is writing things down, taking a photo, recording those measurements! Don’t just go off what the scales say as an indicator grab a tape measure and measure your body this gives you a great idea on where your changing shape, how often your body changes shape and allows you to make further goals on target areas- for me this is a fantastic way of seeing an achievement & motivating you to keep going and work a little harder! So ditching the scales can sometimes be a good choice! • BALANCE! Remember eating healthily you can still have treats, the bit of cake you want, that take away, you can still go for tea and have a few drinks- but just think about the amount you consume and timing- so possibly if you know your out for tea on a Saturday followed by drinks be good for the rest of the week have your blow out meal but make better choices - any option meat, salad & veg you can’t go wrong .. still have your carby dishes pasta and pizza but not as often and portion control. Don’t be too strict unless you know you can stick to it! Mind over matter - the most powerful tool! We all fall off the wagon time to time and overindulge but just be aware of the types of food your eating, research your foods and food groups or ask someone for advice, I found for me personally a low sugar diet has benefited me recently and keeping an eye on portion control - having three meals a day with a snack in the evening is working well and most of all I’m enjoying it and still having food when I want and not feeling hungry! Having holidays as my goals and setting them a few months at a time makes it more achieveable and enables me to maintain. Seeing how much my body has changed positively has motivated me looking back at an old photo where you think erghhhh!! We all have one! Finding something I enjoy doing boxercise & running! Here’s a little story you won’t believe I used to hate running would avoid it at any cost even though I was very fit teaching exercises classes every day I just hated running -couldn’t do it- too hard! Starting small 2k building it up 3k-4K-5k-10k this has taken time but something I am so proud I have achieved, running with friends has helped as I see this as a social thing rather than a chore. When I first started I couldn’t run to the end of my street heart pumping out my chest I hated it. But now finding a nice place to run; my local nature park- not putting too much pressure on myself by not entering competitions compared to when I was younger these were my goals- I have found my balance and actually have grown to enjoy it😊 - well the achievement afterwards for sure! My longest run to date is 17.5k so pretty happy with that. But find something an activity you enjoy & start small! Soooo important! Get yourself a cute notepad to keep it all in one place, so for breakfast the above photo is a smoothie - the recipe for this one is: • cocoa powder 1tsp (natural/wholefood mix) • x1 banana • 250ml unsweetened almond milk • peanut butter (wholefood) 1tbsp I find this breakfast so filling & great when your on the go! Then as you can see the below photo tomato’s, avocado with x2 scrambled eggs & spinach Glass of water with each meal - TIP Lots of good fats, high protein & iron 😍 how healthy living impacts you day to day?Being motivated staying fit and healthy makes you so much more happy! Boosts your confidence both physically and mentally and generally makes you an all round better person to be around! It improves your awareness, concentration, ability to get up out of bed. Being healthy improves your sleep pattern - like me I struggle to sleep and always have done however exercise and eating well helps your state of mind and allows you to relax & keeps you motivated to reach those goals. Interrupted sleep can sometimes be as a result of diet and the impact this has on you being grumpy the next day, lack of focus, mood swings etc... we have all experienced this at some stage! Not nice! Positive kind attitude impacts your daily life- having a more positive outlook and approach makes you a happier person, less tired and boosts that feel good factor which makes you smile more! motivation leads to happinessThe purpose of this blog post is to remind you that you need to stay motivated and to stay positive and that by simply motivating yourself to achieve whether it’s fitness, lifestyle, work or just general day to day living always look after number one- very important ... sometimes changing small factors around you make such an impact on your life and you feel great for doing them- then you can successfully manage your own lifestyle and wear that happy smile ☺️ Still enjoy the little things in life, have those naughties .. keep motivated and smile 😊🍦

Welcome! A big hello... so here it is!
I have had this in mind for so long but after several attemps at trialing different blogging sites I think I may have found a winner! Been searching for one that is easy to use and most importantly accessible through my phone as well as laptop so I can share all my gorgeous photos with you all 💛 So how did inspire begin? So after lots of thoughts worrying and what ifs.. it was summer last year whilst I was away on holiday in Lanzarote laid on the beach with a book in hand and notepad in the other rattling my brain for business names and trying to choose ideas! I knew I wanted to do something creative but what!? was the question as there was so much I could focus on... so with that and 100 mind maps drawn out! ‘INSPIRE’ was decided and my beautiful beach holiday was devoted to drawing up plans for my new studio workshop, creative ideas & things I could design and make✌🏼 What does inspire do? A better question would be what does Inspire not do!🙈🙊 from DIY home decor, furniture upcycling, crafts, personalised gifts to finally branching into weddings this has been such a journey so far with lots more opportunities coming my way and more room to continue growing! For me I focus on personalised touches so allowing people to choose what they want, pick their own colours, choose their designs & most of all love their finished pieces - something that bit more special and as they say thoughtful gifts are always the best ones💛 A passion of mine started from my love of interiors and design, renovating my home and creating something myself and my husband are proud of and love spending time at - a social house always ones to entertain! This renovation and love of DIY decor was one of the most hard but yet rewarding journeys to date! So will tell you more about that in another blog post 😉 ... What to expect for future blog posts? Well well well... you will deffo see pics of my home that’s if you haven’t already seen lots on my insta!!
